Stonewall Kitchen is a gourmet food brand that produces all-natural jams, sauces, snacks and more. The company was founded by Jonathan King and Jim Stott in 1991. Both had ventured into their own entrepreneurial gigs prior to meeting each other, gigs that included selling t-shirts, popcorn and other items. The two also worked as waiters, cooks and gardeners prior to producing their first jar of jam in 1991. They made more and set up a stand at a local farmer's market. They named their product Stonewall Kitchen after the New England stone material used on the wall outside of their kitchen. Lucy Tuttle from Tuttle's Farm stopped by their stand one day and asked if they supported wholesale orders. Although the two men did not know what she meant, they said yes, and Lucy bought up their entire stock. Today, Stonewall Kitchen sells jam, sauces, syrup and a wide assortment of home-cooked foods to professional and general consumers alike. It has also become a popular brand in the gourmet gift industry.
