The business continued with Goelitz' sons, and a second generation of the business began in 1898 with the introduction of candy corn. The company, like many companies, struggled during World War II due to strict rationing on sugar, but the company did manage to introduce treats called Mint Wafers during this time. Jelly beans didn't come until the 1960s, nearly a century after the company was founded. The company experimented with unconventional flavors beginning in 1973, creating such delicacies as root beer, green apple and cream soda. The company's little candies even caught the attention of former president Ronald Reagan who ordered 2.5 tons worth to celebrate his inauguration in 1981, which included portraits of Reagan made entirely of jelly beans. The company began stamping its product name on every jelly bean in 1996 and an official company name change (from Goelitz to the Jelly Belly Candy Company) came in 2001. Today, the company is still one of the most popular jelly bean manufacturers in America.

Jelly Belly has a very strict return policy due to the perishable nature of its products. You only have 3 business days to request a Return Authorization Number upon receiving your order in order to receive a full refund. All products must be unopened. You'll receive instructions on how to return your product when you receive your number. You can return your product after 3 business days, but you'll face a 15% restocking fee if you do. You are responsible for shipping charges unless the company finds your product to be defective or if the wrong item was shipped to you.
