Preferred Shopping Device by Time of Day

According to data, online shopping behavior has not changed drastically since last quarter. Americans still typically shop more with their smartphones in the afternoon,with 49 percent of users shopping between 8 pm and 10 pm.

Desktops were still the preferred device earlier in the day, with a slight dip to 48 percent from 49 in the previous quarter.

Online Shoppers by Sex

Women continue to beat out men in terms of online shopping savviness. The majority of females who use their smartphones to shop has gone up by two percentage points from last quarter to 56 percent.

Men were still almost equally likely to use their desktops and smartphones to shop online.
