The future of the US travel and tourism industry is uncertain right now to say the least. According to some reports, international tourism is at a record high. Still, others report that there are signs of a downturn in tourism to the United States.

For Americans who don’t travel and who are not a part of the $250-billion US travel and tourism industry, this might not matter much.

However, for those of us who do travel, especially internationally, any serious dip in visits to the US might have a global effect. With less people visiting the US, there will naturally be more people traveling to other destinations like Europe, which will bring up the costs for all travelers. And since global demand for European travel in 2017 is predicted to rise, hopeful travelers will face higher costs compared to last year. Add to that an unfavorable USD to EUR exchange rate and your dream vacation to Europe this summer is likely to get more expensive by the day.

Luckily, we have the solution to your problem:

Book Now and Save: September Is Travel Savings Month!

There are many ways to save money on your vacation.

  1. Be Flexible – As you search for flights and accommodations, be flexible on everything.
    a. Increasing or decreasing your trip length by a single day can lead to huge savings.
    b. Want to fly on a Friday? If it’s too expensive, try searching for flights on different days.
    c. How far are you booking in advance? 2 weeks? 2 months? Try everything from next week to 6 months from now and you’ll likely see big differences in costs.
    d. Looking for a hotel? Try hostels, B&Bs, Airbnb and motels for a range of different prices.
  2. Check Everywhere
    a. Search engines are great, but don’t depend on just one. Sites like Kayak.com, Holiday Pirates, Skyscanner and greatvaluevacations.com (to name a few) often feature radically different pricing and deals.
    b. There are also dozens of stand-alone travel apps like Hopper for flights and Roomer for hotels, most travel sites also have their own app. Pricing can be different on the app than on the website.
    c. Don’t forget to go directly to hotel and airline websites! They can also feature their own deals that you won’t find anywhere else.
  3. Be Creative and Open-minded
    a. Don’t like cruises? You might find they have cheaper prices since they are often all-inclusive.
    b. Going to Paris? It might be cheaper to fly to to Prague and train it to Paris. Do your research!

However, if you are strapped for time but still want to save some cash for the good things in life (like beer and pizza), then let us do the work for you.

And that’s exactly what we have done for you here:
